Palm Springs!!

I am still here.  We are having a great time!  We got just the right amount of sun yesterday. Today is Spa Day.  Woo!Hoo! We have a Spa Package first is the Face and than the body. Jeanine doesn't leave until 8:00 p.m. tonight. I will update everyone later.

We lost Winnie last night around 9:30 p.m. . ������She went quietly in her sleep and is now at peace with god! ������I am hoping she is with Frank & Agnes. ������Some how that gives me great peace!! ������Please say a little prayer for Uncle Bob that he can make it through all this.

Palm Springs!!

I am off to Palm Springs today. Ever year my Best friend Jeanine and I and the girls go to Palm Springs for a few days. She actually is there for the whole week. I just come in for the weekend. We do girl things. Walk everyday. Lay in the sun. Go out to eat. Watch Girls movies. And last year we even scrapped.

This year there are no kids coming. She got in a Sunday with her husband. He left Monday night and I am arriving on Wednesday and staying until Friday. Not sure what we will be doing as of yet but I can't wait. What happens in Palm Springs stays in Palm Springs.

Do you have a friend that you have known since Elementary school/Junior High? Do you have a friend that your kids have known since they were 2 years old and now are 21 & 23? Do you have a friend that doesn't care that you put on a few pounds and still put on a bathing suit in front of? Do you have a friend that loves your kids as much as you do? I could go on and on. Jeanine is that friend for me. And I get to spend 2 1/2 days with her. I can't wait.

I love you Jeanine!! I am glad you are in my life!!

AVI!!

Avi is the newest cat we got last week.  She is the sweetest cat I have ever owned.  She so wanted a family to love her.  She loves to be held and follows me everywhere.  This is where she lays while I am on the computer.

Naked Juice

When we were up visiting Holly & Gavin the one thing I noticed right away is how well their girls eat.  They eat fruits & vegetables all day long even for snacks.  Jolee loves this juice called "Super Food"  It is all natural fruit juice (Green Machine).  It has 5 different kinds of fruits and 10 Boosts (wheat grass, soy etc.).  It is 100% fruit juice.  It is very good.  If you get a chance try it.

"WII FIT"

Well I found it. The "WII FIT" I am so excited. I have reached a stand still with my weight and need to get moving. I think this is definitely going to do it for me. Those people at Nintendo are very clever. With the "WII FIT" you get the program and the balance board. It is very accurate. I took the fitness test. Got weighed and my BMI rate. Then it gives you a age that you are at. Well I am embarrassed to say that I was 61 years old the first time I took the test and after 40 minutes of working out. I was 48 years old. One year younger than I am. Now I just need to lose 10 pounds. I worked up a sweat and felt good after just a short time. This could make exercising fun.

The Torres Girls!!

We had such a good time with Gavin & Holly and the girls. ������It was so nice to be in their home. ������When they come to Southern California we have to compete with others for their time. ������This weekend we had them all to ourselves.

Thursday night I went to Payton's open house at school. ������That was fun. ������I got to see her classroom and even see a talent show.

This is pictures of the girls in the morning. ������Jolee only wants Payton. ������She would sit on Payton's lap and eat cereal and super food.
Jolee and Uncle Pete. ������I don't think she was happy Pete had her at this very moment but we were trying to get other things out of the truck in a busy parking lot.

This was a great time. ������We took the boat out on Friday for a day on the lake. ������It was beautiful. ������Very hot! ������Friday night we went to a place in downtown Sacramento called "Ella" ������It is a fine dining restuarant. That also has a shared dining experience. ������You order different plates and share them including your main course. ������It was so much fun. ������We had a great time. ������We are hoping to go to "The Kitchen" the next time we come up. ������Maybe in October.

Over all this was a great weekend. ������I am glad to be home. ������There is nothing like home.

Heather's Graduation!!

We went to Carmichael for Heather's graduation party as well as to see Gavin & Holly. ������This was a great celebration. Here are a few pictures of the event. ������I am sorry to say I didn't get a lot of pictures. ������None of the graduate. ������She was very busy entertaining.

Weekend Get Away!!

Gone this weekend to Northern California. Thursday night we are going to the Graykowski's for family night dinner. We are staying with Gavin & Holly Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. I hope they don't get to sick of us. Friday we will spend the day with Holly & Gavin & the girls. Heather is getting her Masters Degree on Friday and there will be a big party on Saturday at the Graykowski's for her.

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get back.

Kendra is coming!!

This is Kendra and my sister Carol!!!

My Niece Kendra is coming this summer after graduation. She just turned 18 in May and is graduating in June. She is coming June 18th-July1st. I can't wait to see her. I just hope I can keep her busy. Alexi & Zach said they would help.

I am still hoping Josh will be out for the whole summer. We are still waiting to hear from him. He will be staying with Zach for three months and working here.

Scrapbook pages!!!

This was taken of Wendy at SDV on one of our late nights. ������Those are pringles she has in her mouth. ������I don't know what made her decide to put them in her mouth like that but I was there to take a picture of it. ������As you see Amanda Sue was egging her on.
This is of all of us girls one morning at the coffee shop across the street. ������I cut the coffee cups with my Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge. ������I love how these two pages turned out. ������It was lots of fun to do.

Baby Bobcat!

Ken & Syndi recently got a call to come and get a baby Raccoon. When they got to the destination they took the raccoon and the officer said look at what else I found. It was this beautiful baby Bobcat. They also took the Bobcat and delivered it to the rescue people who handle Bobcats. I thought it was kinda cool to see it at such a small age.

There are all kinds of people in this area that rescue everything. Ken and Syndi only do Racoon's. They get strong and stay here until they are ready to be released. They have three different cages for the different developmental stages. The final cage is amazing. They do soft releases and the animals can come and go right here on my property. Racoon's are amazing animals when in the right environment.

Birthday's are a great time to say how you feel about a person. ������Even though I didn't live with you as a child I think of you as a Father. I am so lucky to have you in my life and the lives of my children. I am looking forward to many more fun times. ������

Happy Birthday Crazy Horse!!! ������This is a big birthday for you. ������Just remember you are only as old as you feel. ������

New Addition-AVI

We went and rescued Toda's sister from the Olsen's. I wanted her two weeks ago but Pete would never say yes. Now with Lightening gone it seemed a better fit.

She is very sweet & Sergie is very happy to have her. As you can see they are already eating together. The only problem is she still needs to get fixed on Wednesday, so there is a little tension in the house. Sergie just follows her around all the time. She has been giving me kisses all day. I have never had a cat do that. She has the same kind of markings as Toda does but she is orange. Her tail looks like a rattle snake.

The Dog has been caught!!

We finally caught the wild dog that has been causing all the problems. He has been tormenting the Racoon's and all of our animals up here. He has been up to the cages and tried to get in to get the Racoon's. We believe he is the one that got Lightening. He was seen around the day Sergie was up a tree and Lightening had been missing.

When animal control came out to get him they couldn't even get him out of the cage. They had to take the whole cage & dog with them and bring another trap tomorrow. That speaks for its self as to what type of dog he is.

My Mother-In-Law passed away in September of 2007. This is for her. All the things I miss:


. I miss your laugh. You told me I needed to laugh more often. I am trying.

. I miss your calls at the odd times of the day to say you heard a mouse or a noise that you didn't like. Just so someone would come over. I think you were lonely.

. I miss you bossing me around. Telling me how to make your coffee or how many minutes to heat up your muffins even though I had done it a million times before. Now I know you were just trying to remember your self what to do.

. I miss not seeing you eat your Chocolate Pudding and Chocolate Breyers Ice Cream.

. I miss helping you with your showers and dressing only to listen every time to the same comments about your own body.

. I miss the look of your hands with your red nail polish. Red nail polish is classy you always used to tell me.

. I miss the advise about Marriage, Birth Control and how to raise my children.

. I miss the way you looked and acted when the grandkids were around. Always in the teaching mode. Shuffle Shuffle Hop Step etc.

. I miss Quigley your faithful companion and oh how you loved that dog. Always worried about him and getting him chicken to eat.

. I miss the look you gave me when you wanted something that you knew I wasn't going to like. But you asked me anyways. Like buying you cigarettes.

. I miss everything about you Agnes. You are one of the bravest & strongest people I know.
