Cousins!!

Check out my Cousins website. This is Pam & Steve. They cook pork!!!

Sergie!!

Ok don't look at the messy closet. I had to share these photos. This cat thinks he is tiny. I have no idea how he got in this basket.

He could not even fit. I had to remove the basket and he still just sat there. He is the funniest cat I have every had. I think it is because he is so big. And he doesn't even know it.
Now he is on the floor looking for a way to get up higher on a different shelf. He just destroys my closet.

New Book!!

I just got this book.  I love it!  I sat down and went through the entire book as soon as I got it.  I am sure I will read through it several more times.  I love Stacy Julian. She is very inspiring.  I can't wait to implement her ideas.  She has really made me think and get my creative juices flowing.  I can't wait for "Photo Freedom" to arrive so I can get organized. If I had my "Fred" I would be able to display this book better.
Check out her Website:

This Cool!!

This was on my sisters Blog Spot. It is a pretty cool idea.

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple.. Please tell ten (or more) friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed an animal
in need" for free. It's in a purple box in the middle of the page. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Happy Birthday Alexi!!

My baby girl is "23" years old today.  I can't believe it.  It seems just like yesterday I was having her.  She is going to Palm Springs with her boyfriend Phil for a few nights.

We will see her next week for dinner.

I hope she has a great day.  What I wouldn't give to be 23 years old again.

Happy Birthday Alexi!!!   We love you!!!

Woo! Hoo!

1 month and 1 day until I go to Virginia!!!

Blogging!!

Am I the only one who just caught on to how to post pictures.  I have been having such a hard time getting the words where I want them to be on my Blog page.  I am now posting all pictures first.  Then I go to the compose tab and add text under each photo.

Before I was typing first and then adding photos.  Then I was trying to cut and paste and put the photos where I wanted them to be. Also you had to pull in your pictures the latest one first.  I think I was making it way to hard.

Just thought I would share.  I feel so stupid for not figuring it out sooner.  OH I learned something new yesterday.  And that of course is one of my words for the year.

Pictures of the land!!!

Pictures from the point yesterday. You are looking towards Camp Pendelton. This is the area that burned a few months ago. It has all come back beautifully green. It was an amazing day. We walked and rode the Quads all day long.

This the area that we have started picking the Avocados from these trees first. It is a little early to start picking but because of the water shortage we are going to have to also stump part of this yellow block area.
Jose started stumping a few days ago. This is the first time I have seen the area where he will be cutting. The white bins are what he uses to put the Avocados in to get ready for pick up from the packing house. A big truck comes every night and picks up what we have ready for the day. We have one guy picking and he can get a least one bin up to two bins in one day.
More of the stumped area. This area is very beautiful. We are finding all kinds of large rocks and it also has a low area somewhere in here. Once the trees are stumped the land looks completely different. It is really beautiful.

Necklace!

Check out Lisa Leonards new jewelery line. She has some really cool stuff. I am not sure what I want yet. But I will definately own one of her pieces. They are so original and cool!!

6x12 Basic Grey Board Book!

Sorry for the three posts in one day. Here is a project I have been working on for Jolie. I left the pages blank so her Mom can fill it in with photos.

She is so cute!! It starts out "I am 1"

Here she turn "2" with these Birthday pages.

I just had to share this Board book I made for Jolie. She is turning 2 years old on March 9th. I got the idea for something I saw on Ali Edwards site.

She did a book for her son on his 7th Birthday. It said I am 7. I loved it and have been searching for the right book and idea for Jolie. I love the way it turned out.

It was a challenge to do which also makes it lots of fun. I started with "I am 1" and then half way through I made her turn "2". The book is 8 pages and beautiful made. The other pages that go with the book were just basic.
I can't wait to find a use for the second book I bought.

Attire!!

I thought I would share some of my attire for SDV.

This T-shirt came from Cafe Express. I love these head shots. I have ordered another one. It should be here soon.
This is my Scrappin with Friends T-shirt. I love it!!

WEIGHT LOSS!

I have been doing pretty good on my weight loss.  I have lost 8 pounds total. I would like to get rid of about 15 more pounds.  I don't even know if that is possible.

I need to get moving and I think it would come off easier.  I have been on the Nutrisystem program and it really does work.

I am inspired by Donna Downey.  She has really been working hard and sticking to it.  I wish I had a Black Jack right now.  Check out her Blogspot.

Keep it up Donna you are doing great.

Kids!!

I love these Cats!! They are so funny to watch. I am really glad we have two of them. They keep each other company and entertain me. They don't fit very well on this post at the same time. They often fight over the top position. This day they both got on the top spot.

WOO! HOO!

One Month and One Week until I go to Virginia. Sorry I had to share I don't know if anyone is paying attention to my ticker. I can't wait to leave.

Monday words!!

I took some good pictures this weekend and will try to post them later. It was beautiful weather at the ranch. It was about 63-65 all weekend. And lots of sun.

We had the family over for Pete's Birthday on Sunday. He turned 50. Sergie doesn't do well with the crowds and he got a little scared and wandered far away from the house. We could not find him until allmost dark. He had gotten up the Redwood trees at the campsite area of our property. Pete tried to get him down but no luck. Have you ever seen a dead cat up a tree? Have you ever tried to get a cat down from a tree? I learned along time ago they come down when they are good and ready. He stayed out all night long. And probably loved every minute of it. At 6:00A.M. I went outside and called for him. About 6:10 A.M. he came flying up to the front of the house. I let him in and he ran straight under the bed. He will probably stay there all day. I didn't get any sleep. I just worry to much when they are out at night.

Valentine's Day Cards!!!

These are a few of the Valentine's Day Cards I got. It was nice to get something in the mail other than junk. Although my sister has Rak'd me recently and that was nice.

This is the home made card I got from my Niece Holly. Their children are so beautiful. I love this card. It is so simple and all about the pictures. I love that she wrote on it and made it all about the pictures. The older girl Payton has a birthday this month. She is the one that I have been working on an album for. Jolie the younger girl has a birthday in March. She will be two. I am making her the Board books one for each year of birth. I got this idea from Ali Edwards. I will post when I get these projects finished. I think I have found a home for all of scrapbook items that I have extras of.

Getting Organized!!

I am trying to get organized. I have photos all over everywhere. I am not sure what to do with them. Most of my albums are not even close to being full and have big holes in the middle. My daughter use to take photos from the albums and make collages and other things with them. She had her walls full of photos and posters. And some of the albums are rusting and falling apart. I thought if I could get them all together in one spot that would be a start. I have gone through 12 Albums so far and this is what it looks like.

All my photos are also being stored at the other property. I am trying to bring them up here a little bit at a time. I think this is probably only 1/3 of the albums. I am not sure what I will be doing after I get them all in these boxes but at least they will be all together and a little more condensed. The three boxes I have so far take up a lot less space than all twelve of those albums. Any suggestions on organizing? Wish me Luck.

Mac!!

I am always talk about the cats so I decided to put some pictures on here about Mac our dog.

This is a page I scrapped in my dog book of Mac when he was a puppy. He was so cute.

I took these photos last week. He is 14 years old. He is looking very gray and has a few growths on his face. He is blind and deaf now. But still wagging his tail and spinning around. He is a very fun dog and I don't know how much longer we will have him.

The Garage is finished!

The garage is finally finished. We are having another coat put on the floor next week. Here are the photo's. I just love it. Everything is so clean.

Mr. Shogo Yamaguchi

Just some Wednesday news:

Mr. Shogo Yamaguchi was a mentor of Ken Hennell's the previous owner of our property. He was one of Ken's teacher and Ken was a great admirer of his. In the newspaper it said that "A street in De Luz that overlooks the river bears his name" This is where Shogo Mountain Rd. comes from. Ken told us the story of Mr. Yamaguchi when we bought our property. We were talking one day and I was curious as to why he named our road Shogo Mountain and he told me of Mr. Yamaguchi. I had no idea this man was even still a live. He died at the age of 91 years old and was loved my this community.

This picture and Newspaper article will go in my House scrapbook.

Sunday!!

Here are some pictures of the Harris Property. The Oak area is amazing right now. Everything is so green and all the trees have new blooms. It is just beautiful.

I finished fixing my Wedding Album. And also Zach's sport book. Two down and two to go. I am going to start on Payton's Birthday book. Her birthday is at the end of the month. I am making her a scrapbook with no pictures. I have a few to put in but they will mostly be blank for her to fill in herself. I decide to do a 8x8 instead of 12x12 because she is younger than the other girls. I will do a 12x12 for her when she gets a little older.

Sorry no pictures yet. I will post some of the pictures when I get it started. It is fast and really fun to do. I have to put some things back in the garage and after that I have the rest of the day to Scrap. Woo!Hoo!!

GreenDimes

Check out the new Sidebar. This is where you can have all your junk mail stopped. Any Catalogs etc. I also purchased my Grocery bags from them. I haven't received them yet but I can't wait. After reading the "The Green Book" I am inspired to try to do something to recycle. The waste is driving me crazy. I have started and I can't say how long I will stick with it. But at least I have started doing something. I didn't realize how many napkins I use. Or how long I let the water run. Or how many things can actually be recycled. We use a lot of plastic and paper at my house so at least if you can recycle it, it isn't so bad using the items. If it all goes to the trash it is bothersome.

New Trees!!

We planted some new trees in the front of the development on the Harris Trail road.

This is the Italian Stone Pine!!

This is the Canary Palm!!

We are having fun with this project. Or I should say my husband and neighbor are having the most fun. Now all we need is our own mail box.

Garage!!

We are finally getting our garage floor coated. I took some before pictures so you can see what it looked like before.

Here's the company that we used!!

Here is the floors before the cabinets. I will have to show the completed project tomorrow. They are still working on it as I am typing.

So far so good. They have done a great job.
