Thoughts for Thursday!!

I am still here people. I have been checking all your sites I just haven't had much time to blog myself. It has been a crazy week. I got another letter from Josh on Wednesday. he sure sounds great to me. I can't wait for him to finish the Marine boot camp.

We are off to Mexico for a few days. We have been trying to get down there for a few weeks now. Hopefully we will get some good weather. I am very mcuh looking forward to it.

Sunday night we are having a fire in the fire pit and having some neighbors and friends over. I will blog again as soon as I can.

Josh update!!

I just got my first letter from Josh. Josh is my Nephew that is Marine Boot camp at Perris Island South Carolina. I am so happy. If I don't ever get another I will be very happy. He sounds great. I am so very proud of him. I know he will do great and become a great Marine. He just started swim week. I know this week is going to be hard, but he seemed confident that he could make it through.

This book is great. My Nephew is in boot camp at Perris Island and this book tells you exactly what is going on during boot camp. I love it and I am so very proud of him for joining the Marines!!

I just finished reading this book. It was very informative and a great book to read. I was proud of my nephew Josh before, but after reading this book I am even prouder.

If you know of someone currently in the Marines or if you know someone who is retired Marines you should read this book. Alot of the things really made since after reading it.

My Father-In-Law Frank was in the Marines. I only said was because he pasted away 8 years ago this December. He was a true Marine. It is a true Brotherhood of Men & Women that serve our country.

Today is my stepfather Jackie's Birthday. It has been a rough year for him physically. He seems to be doing well at this time. I am so glad he is still with us for another Birthday. I hope you have a great day Jackie.

Baby Kitten!!

Cheryl & Jose also had this baby kitten Cheryl found by the dumpster. She was nursing it. I think it is only about 2 weeks old. The kitten didn't mind all the people screaming at the fights either. She just wanted to give me lots of kisses. I will try to help Cheryl find a home for it in a few weeks. If I didn't work I would have taken it home with me on Saturday night. It needs lots of attention right now and I don't have time for anything.

The BBQ pit!!

We went to Cheryl & Jose to watch the fights last week while Mom was still here. She wanted a picture of the pit that Jose cooks his meat in. It was interesting how he does it. The wood get started very early. He only uses Oak wood. Once the wood has made some good coals he puts in the meat. It takes all day to cook. But this meat is so good. He even made some tongue for us. That was very good as well.


He had a turkey in the pit as well as a beef loin and the Tongue.

My Mom!!

My Mom is the greatest in the world!! I loved being able to spend my 50th Birthday with my Mom. I am very lucky to have her in my life. She is fun and always up for just about anything. I love you Mom!!

Layla and the cats don't usually get to close. Sergie let Layla get up on the bed and even give him a kiss!! It was very cute to see. Pete of course couldn't even move.

Zach's Birthday!!

Alexi had a little gathering for Zach's Birthday on Thursday of last week. She made him a strawberry cake and his favorite meal chicken and pesto noodles. We went to her house after work and Justin & Debbon came over as well as Zach's friend Parker. It was very nice. Here are a few of the pictures that were taken.
