Update!!!

This has been a very sad and busy last few days. I am having a very hard to time shaking this awful feeling. I am so sad and upset over the loss of my friend.

They had a celebration of life for Teri on Saturday followed by some food at the church. It was a beautiful service. After that we went to the Libbrecht home and ate, drank and celebrated Teri's life there with family and friends.

I am at work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We are leaving for the river tomorrow with some friends. I am hoping it is going to be a nice weekend.

Next week will be crazy too. We work Monday & Tuesday and then off to Mexico for the 4th of July.

I will try to post some pictures soon. Please keep the Libbrecht family in your prayers this has been a most difficult time for everyone.

Tragic Loss!!

I have had a tragic loss in my family. My friend died on Thursday. She got sick and went into the hospital on Monday with a very bad infection. They couldn't do anything for her. She loss the battle early Thursday morning. She was only 58 years old. She leaves behind a Husband . A 25 year old daughter, A 27 year old son and future daughter in law ( my daughter Alexi). And a very large immediate family. This is a great loss to our family.

The whole world is crying today!! Please keep this family in your prayers they are going to need the help in the coming weeks and months.

Coyote's

This coyote came to visit last week. They are so comfortable on our property. He just walked across the driveway to get a drink out of the fountain.

These are pictures from mexico. It has been so beautiful there the last few times we have been down. I can't wait for the 4th of July!!!

Things around the house!!

Here are a few photos of some things around my house:

The hummingbirds are amazing right now.  They are very hard to get a photo of.
One of the gnomes Tim made me for my birthday.  It sits by our front door.

This fan palm tree on our property always has a bird sitting on the top of it.  This palm is the worlds largest palm tree.

Our orchard tree.  This tree is only two years old and has beautiful flowers on it all the time.

Gift for Zach!!!

I made this blanket for Zach for his birthday in April. I am just now getting it finished. It took me longer than I thought it would. I think it is my favorite one I have crochet so far. It gets real hard when the blanket gets bigger. It becomes heavy and hard to move around. But it still was my favorite.

Friday visitors

We had some friends come over on Friday from Colorado. The guys took the kids on a quad ride. What a great family. It seemed like the kids had a good time.

We had a great lunch of Mexican food. Tish made chicken enchiladas and rice and beans.  It was very good.

Last book read!!

This is the last book I have finished reading. I love Jodi Picoult style of writing.

Hoax!!

I think this is a real shame. I am very reluctant to follow anyones site I really don't know. I have followed a few sites where the un born children were in danger. It really bother me so much I stopped reading them. I really can't get involved in others lives I don't know. This is very disturbing. Check out this news release.

What's happening in blogland:

I have a blog on my blog roll that I've been reading every now and again called "Little April Rose". It's about a mom who was pregnant but her doctors predicted her baby "April" would not survive.

Every week the mom wrote about her feelings and hopes for her pregnancy. The baby was growing, she was beating the odds, God was blessing her, blah blah blah. And then she had the baby at home, but the baby died just hours later. Thousands and thousands of people were flocking to her site to offer support.

And then she was outed.

That's right...it was all a total hoax. She drove up traffic to her blog and carried on like an idiot, but it was all a complete lie. Read the story here.

I don't know...I think that lady needs help, but I'm kind of glad it was a hoax. And I'm REALLY glad that I didn't get scammed on that one!!! Seeeee....maybe I AM smarter than I look.




Happy Friday

Thursday to Thursday

I am hoping this isn't going to be my thing. Thursday to Thursday. It has been so busy around here I don't have any time even to comment on ours blogs. I am having a problem with my Blog at work. I can't write a blog. And the list of blogs doesn't get update so I don't even know who else had blogged. Hopefully this will get fixed soon. I will try harder.

Last Thursday I had to go out and run some errands. It took most of the day. Michaels looking for some yarn. Costco getting some supplies for Mexico and then to Target more supplies for Mexico.

Friday morning we left very early to go to Mexico. I dropped Pete off at the golf course to meet his brother and I went on to the house. I spent 5 hours doing some major spring cleaning. I am trying to get everything ready for the 4th of July. The weather was beautiful!!! We went out to dinner with Ed & Sherry on Friday night and came back to the house for a fire outside.

Saturday we just rested around the house. Got some more things done and even had time for a nap. We left Mexico around 5:30.

Sunday we went to Gary's for a Mexican lunch. Pictures to follow. That was lots of fun. It was another great day.

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday were filled with lots of work. And that brings us to today.

Today I am going to do laundry and try to work on a few projects. I will post some pictures and get a few future blogs posted.

I am not sure what the weekend holds for this family. I will let you know how it goes.

I'm back!!!

I have been a very bad blogger lately. We have been gone and when I am home I am either sick or very very busy. I haven't had time to do anything.

We are off to Mexico again tomorrow. We are trying to get everything ready for the 4th of July. We have been going this weekend every year for the last 15 years or so. I have to do some cleaning and bring down a few things. Hopefully we will have some good weather. We will be back on Saturday. And Sunday we are going to Gary's for lunch.

Not much else going on. I will try to post again soon. Don't give up on me yet.
