Birthday Surprise!!!

When Alexi first asked me if they could have a party for me my first reaction was no way. I don't like anything that makes me the center of attention. I might me loud and opionated but I don't like things that are focused on me. But I am so glad I agreed. I have tried to ignore all previous birthday's. This year being the big "50" I was looking forward to it. But my Mom was a total surprise.

They took her to Zach's house and made up an excuse for me to go down there.  I was not happy with having to go to Zach's house. He said something was wrong with his cat "Toda".  I had so much to do and now I had another problem with the cat to deal with.Mom opened the door holding her invitation.  All I could do was scream and scream!!
I turned around and was telling my friend Jeanine. I kept saying Jeanine my Mom's here. Over and over.  It was a very weird feeling to have them all here and my Mom too.
Do you think I look surprised!!!

It was the best birthday present ever!!  What a way to spend your "50" Birthday!!! I am so thankful to everyone who helped in the planning of this event.

A special Thanks to my Special Girl "Alexi"  She worked so hard and planned everything.  I am not easy at all to surprise.  And they did it!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Gary!!

Where do I start. Uncle Gary is the greatest Uncle ever. He is Pete's Dad's younger brother. He is not my Uncle by blood but in my Heart he is my Uncle Gary as well. Now that he has moved to Temecula and is only 20 minutes away. We love spending time with him. I wish we could see him more but there isn't enough hours in the day. This photo I got this picture from his blog.

I hope you have a great day Gary!! And we will call soon to set up our Birthday Dinner date.

The day after!!

Well today is the day after my big "50" Party. It is my actual Birthday today. I am writing this on Saturday as I know I will not feel much like blogging on Monday. When I got home from Virginia my daughter Alexi called and asked if her and my husband could plan a "50th" Birthday party for me. I don't like these types of things much at all. She thought I would say no right off. She has tried so many time to do this in the past for me. I just don't like all the attention. So I agreed. She was very happy. She is my party girl. Always loves a party. She has had some big parties over the years.

It is Saturday so I can't give you the results yet. But I am sure it will be a fun time. We have 55 people that have R.S.V.P. on the Evite she sent out. We have a great band J.D. Priest playing. It is going to be an afternoon party. From 4:00 - until when ever.

The best part so far has been that the response from friends. I have been thinking of the people that are coming and alot of them I have know for over 30 years.

Our best friends Bob & Jeanine are flying in today from Sacramento to spend the weekend with us. That is like the icing on the cake as Alexi would put it. The kids will be here late afternoon today and we will set up and probably have a fire tonight. I am excited to have the kids home for two nights as well.

All is good and I will give you a big update next week when things settle down.

Wish we luck!!!

Random Pictures!!

Random shots of the day:

This poor bird wouldn't have had a chance if we would have let these two out.  The bird had no idea what he was doing.
The cats were inside going crazy.  Of course we did not let them out.  They no longer go outside.
This is the first flower of the season on my orchard tree.  I love this tree and so do the birds.  It is getting big very fast and filling in the space nicely.

Easter!!

Easter was a beautiful day. Pete & I as well as the kids all went to Melanie & Bills in Redlands to have a wonderful day. It is always nice to get together with the family. The kids had an Easter egg hunt and went in the pool. The boys threw the football around and drank some good wine.

This is Jolie eating her lunch!!  She is the youngest of the kids.  She just turned three and now will have a baby brother or sister in the near future.
Zach trying to fix a gift I bought for the girls.  I don't think he had much luck.  What a great looking kid.  I love his new hair cut. He definitely has my hair.
Gavin & Pete were playing with the football.  Pete left the football there in Redlands.  Not sure when we will be getting it back.
Uncle Bob & Cousin Tracy.  I do believe Bob is the oldest of our clan on the Vlasic side.
Alexi & Payton.  Cute Cute!!
Me with the girls.  Jolie & Payton.  They are so cute.  I love spending time with them.  I can't wait for our next visit up North. I am hoping they will be coming down here in August.

Phil's Birthday!!

This was a very busy day!! First we had the Motorcycle ride in the morning. We got home around 4:00 and we had to be at the Libbrecht's at 6:30 for dinner. Just enough time to rest a bit and shower and get over for dinner.

Here the girls are having fun.  Ashley, Teri, Alexi Debbon & Me!  I am not sure what we are doing.  Just holding the shot glasses.
Here are the boys looking cool.  Zach, Pete, Phil, Steve, Friend.  I the front row. Justin & Trevor.  It was a fun group.
Here is a picture of Phil with his jacket on. The front view.
Now the back view!!

Born to be wild!!!

I am still trying to get caught up on the last batch of pictures I took. These are from Phil's (Alexi's Boyfriend) Birthday. Phil recently got his motorcycle license and his dad rented a bike for the day. It was lots of fun!! It was also the first time Alexi rode with Phil. She did real good and we all really had a great day.

These were taken a Tom's Farms in Corona.  What a great place to ride to. From left to right Steve, Teri (Phil's Mom & Dad) and Phil & Alexi.
Phil & Steve.  We all pitched in and got Phil a motorcycle jacket for this birthday.  He loved it.  There are some other pictures at his party of the front and back of the jacket.  It is real nice.  Steve did a great job in picking it out.
Alexi & Phil getting ready to go.

Virginia Trip Part #14

The things I made at SDV:

This is a scrapbook.  It turned out very cute!  I am not sure who will get it yet, but I enjoyed making it.
This is one of my SDV Scrapbooks.  I like a little board book to put some of the highlights in and then I scrap all my pictures on 12 x 12 pages.

These were little Post It Note Holders. Chris had one some one had  made and gave to her.  We copied it.  They are very cute!!
This is my Wings book.  I am not sure what I am going to do with this yet.  It might be a Harley book for myself with motorcycle pictures in it.

This is the SDV book I made for everyone.  It holds the pictures from the week end.  I haven't put mine in it yet.  No time to print out pictures.  Now I sound like Mandy.  Where does the time go?

This is the end of my Virginia Posts.  I hope I haven't bored everyone to much.  I want to make sure these got on my Blog so next year they will be in  my book.

P.S. I am still working on last years blurb book.

Happy Birthday Zach!!!

My son is turning "22" today. The time sure goes by quickly. I remember his birth all to well. It has been fun to watch him grow up. Even though he has been a hand full. I wouldn't change anything.

Pete & Zach.  Zach is only a few days old here.  He looked just like an old man when he was born.

Happy Birthday Zach!!!!!

Virginia Trip Part #13

A few of the gifts I received while in Virginia.

Carol got me this bracelet. I think one of her friends makes them.  It looks prettier in person.
Mandy made this for us and gave it to us at the Blogger Blast.  It hangs on the door to my craft room.  It brightens up the place.

Virginia Trip Part #12

As you know from Wendy's blog her son Mark hates his picture taken. I think he didn't want to give me a hard time in front of Miranda. Miranda is a very sweet girl. She was our waitress at the Blogger Blast.

They were watching "Twilight".

Visitors

Just as we got home from Mexico we got a phone call from the Cavanaugh's. They were on their way up to see us. Christine and Scott came as well and brought the baby. She is already 6 months old. I can't believe how fast the time goes. It was so nice to see them all. The Cavanaugh's are going to New York next week and won't be around for my Birthday Party.

This baby was so good.  She never fussed or anything.  We went on a long hike and she loved riding on her daddy.  I think Scot was exhausted when we got done.  There are lots of hills on my property to walk up.  It was a beautiful day.  We always love to see the Cavanaugh's.
