Winnie Marsh

This is a picture of Winnie & Uncle Bob.  As Uncle Bob says Winnie has been the love of my life for over 55 years.  It is very hard for him knowing he is losing her.  She is very sick.

Winnie Marsh is one of the sweetest women I know.  She has been in our family for over 50 years. When Agnes was sick she would call the house every day and say "Agnes this is Winnie Marsh your very best friend in the entire world".  I love you and I want you to keep fighting.  And then the next day she would call again and say the same thing.  At first Agnes could respond.  After the phone call she would like to be alone and reflect on her friend.  Then toward the end of Agnes fight she could not say anything in response to the phone call, but her best friend would not give up.  She would say put the phone up to her ear.  I would hear her say "Agnes this is Winnie Marsh your very best friend in the entire world don't give up.  Keep fighting".  Now Winnie is very sick and doesn't have much time left.  I wish she had her very best friend to call her but instead she has Agnes & Frank waiting for her on the docks encouraging her to come on they will be waiting.  I pray for Winnie every day that she will get some peace from her sickness.  She will always be someone that I think of fondly.

Laughlin Pictures!!

Every year we go to Lauglin for a Harley run with a bunch of our friends. There are 4 campsites. Some people have vacation homes there or just come in and stay at the hotels. It is always the same weekend every year. Not the best time for us, but we always have a great time.

New Blogger Alert!!

My Mom is now blogging I can't believe she finally got it set up.  I am so excited. Woo!! Hoo!!  Now every one is blogging.  This is just a great thing for me.  I love being able to communicate through Blogging.  I love sharing my everyday lives with my Sisters and Mom that live so far away.  I love sharing with Alexi even though she is close it is nice to share pictures through Blogging.  I love sharing with all my friends that live in my computer.  I just love sharing.

Sergie!!

This cat thinks he is a lot smaller than he really is. I don't even know how he got into this sock bucket. He needed help getting down. He stayed up there for an hour and took a nap and then cried for help. I just love this guy.

Happy Birthday Uncle Gary!!!

Pete & Uncle Gary!

I have been in this family for a very long time. ������And as long as I can remember Uncle Gary has been at all the family gatherings. ������He has never missed an event. ������When His brother Frank was alive he would go to Frank & Agnes and on Christmas Eve and play bridge all night long. ������He didn't want to miss Christmas morning.������Uncle Gary is one of those Uncle's who always seems to buy the most perfect gift. ������I remember when I got married 25 years ago he bought Pete & I these casserole dishes, they stacked and were perfect for a small kitchen and Newlyweds. ������I still have them to this day.������

I am so happy that he has decided to Blog. ������I think he is very clever and so so smart. ������He definitely has a way with words. ������He must get that from his Dad. ������Grandad Gilmore was a great writer. ������I loved getting letter from him. ������You are very inspiring for people like me who have a very hard time putting their thoughts down on paper so they make sense.

We are so glad to have you in our lives. May you have many more Birthdays. And may this Birthday be a Happy one!!

Laughlin!!

We are off to Laughlin this morning. We go every year to the Harley Run they have there. It is always a good time. We are coming back on Saturday so the kids can come over on Sunday for my Birthday. I am not looking forward to the drive (5 hours) but this year it has only been in the high 80"s. The last few years it has been in the 100's. That is very hot when you are riding on asphalt.

I was cleaning and getting everything ready yesterday and decided to take these photos. ������By having the trailer down here on the flat pad it makes it easier to hook up and drop off.

Zach's Birthday Dinner!!

Here are the photos from Zach's Birthday dinner. We went to the Chart House in Carlsbad. It was beautiful. In one of the pictures you can see the sunset. What a great night it was! You only turn "21" once. They didn't even ask him for his ID. Oh well!!

The first page of my SDV trip. Simple but cute. The girl I cut out of a postcard that the Mary Kay lady sent. I colored in the lips with Stickles. I just love that product. Fun! Fun!

Layla & Sergie

Layla was not allowed to go on the carpet area. She is very smart. She stood at the door and barked and played with Sergie. He was very interested in her. Their first meeting was very cute. They smelled each other a lot and then Sergie rubbed his face on hers. It was very cute. He laid down and rolled over. What a sweet cat he is.
Layla just barked and barked. We got it on the camera video, but I am not sure how to put that on the blog.
Segie inching up closer and closer to the door. He wanted to play, but Layla was too much of a puppy for him. He didn't even mind the barking. This was hilarious!!!!

Happy Birthday Zach!!

My baby boy is "21" today. We are going to the Charthouse for dinner tonight with Alexi. I can't wait. He was home all weekend which was great. He had lots of friends down. It was a good time for all. I will post pictures later.

Garage Cleaning!!

Well Zach and I got the garage cleaned out. The UPS man came and asked if we were moving in. Zach told him no just Spring cleaning. We took two truck loads to the barn and a few bags to the trash. It looks great. He has his darts fixed and music in there now. It just gives he lots more room and things to do when people come over. He set up his horse shoes in the side yard. It all looks great. He is having a few people over for the weekend to celebrate him birthday. I still can't believe his is turning "21"

Groomer Has it!

There is a new reality show called "Groomer has it"  It is on the Animal Planet Channel on Saturday nights at 6:00 P.M. The Animal Planet is on channel 184 here.  I am not sure what channel it would be for anyone else.

A friend of ours is on the show so we recorded it and watched the first episode last week.  It is really cute if you like animals and it is always fun when you know something about the people or the show.

Amber is the cute blonde with the bob hair cut.  She won the first quick challenge and named all 9 dogs correctly.  She is very good at what she does.

Her and her husband have been building mobile dog groomer vehicles for a few years now and doing very well.  She sells the vehicles as well as trains people on grooming. She still grooms herself because she loves animals.  Mobile dog grooming is very popular in this area as well as mobile Vet services.  A lot of people  don't want to traumatize their animals by taking them to the groomers or even to the Vet.

Watch it if you have a chance it is really entertaining.  I am not sure what is going to be happening next so I will be watching just like everyone else.

Thursday!!

Off today!! Hooray!! I am working on getting Zach's garage cleaned out. He wants to fix it up and make it an extension of the house. Most of the things that are in the garage are mine from when we first moved here. They never found a home and probably need to be donated or thrown away. I can't believe my baby is going to be "21" on Monday. Now that is a real milestone.

Phil is off camping this weekend. He is leaving today at 12:00. I am spending the night with Alexi on Friday night. A girls night. I am not sure what we will be doing. She is baby sitting Scooter (a dog) and of course she will have Layla. It is always fun to spend time with her.

Hopefully I will have time to spend in my room on Saturday. I am working on my SDV scrapbook pages. I love those pictures.

Sunday is the "Avocado Festival" 9 - 5 . We have some family coming down to go this year. It is just a large street fair. Lots of local artists, lots and lots of food, Music etc. We have a great time every year. It reminds us of how small our little town is. This is very different for Pete & I coming from Orange County.

The weather has been beautiful the last few days in the high 70's. Just perfect for this time of year.

I love Noell's podcasts. She shows some really cool things. Check out this week. She is using a prodcut called Stickles. We all went crazy for this stuff at SDV. It is so much fun to use. I came home with 6 or 7 colors myself.

Donna Downey!!

I am so pissed off I did not do "Inspired" with Donna Downey on April 10-12. I hope she does another one before April of next year. I am hoping to do SDV again in March of 2009. Did anyone get to go to "Inspired"?

Maybe I don't want to know. Donna inspires me every day with her weight loss and all her craft projects. I would have loved to meet her. Maybe she will be in the California area?

My Sister Number Two!!

I am so proud of my sister Carol. She is a single mother of two wonderful children. It is not easy being a single mother. I can only imagine what she goes through on a daily basis. But she still finds time to give something back. She loves animals and always has. I just found out recently that she is volunteering every Sunday for the Humane Society. I am not sure how long she has been doing this but,she has helped adopt out lots of animals. I recently had the opportunity to see her in action when I visited Virginia. She was very impressive and truely cares alot about these animals. So much so she just adopted a new dog that was going to be put to sleep the very next Week. Jersey is a very sweet dog and I know why she fell in love with him.

She has asked for my help in supporting this event that is coming. This is a Sister that doesn't ask for any help at all. No matter how tough it gets.

Sunday Words Only!!

I am going to scrap something today and I will post later if I get anything done. I have been working on some fun things and seem to get side tracked from finishing any one thing.

I weighed in this morning and I am back to the weight I was before I went on vacation.  I gained a few pounds and they came right off.  I am still only at the total weight loss of 15 pounds.  I am getting serious this next week.  I need to get 10 more pounds off before the summer.  I will feel so good at that point.  

Speaking of summer.  It is 85 here today.  Yesterday got up to 90 at 4:00 p.m.  Summer is in full swing. It is just beautiful.
