Mom's coming!!!!

Look out California OLF (Joyce) is coming. I can't wait. She comes on the 20th of August. We have lots of things planned. The time is getting filled up very quickly. She will be here until September 8th. This is the longest visit ever. It just gives us some time to relax a little and not have to run so hard. All the weekends are getting full.

We have Mexico to fit in. Scrapbook Convention in San Diego. Barbecue at the Liebrecht's house for Labor Day. And a few other surprises. I just love spending time here at the Ranch.

I know you are all jealous!!! I can't wait. 10 more days!!!!!

Blankets 1st stage!!!

I am starting some rag quilt projects. I can't wait to sew.

1st Baby girl rag quilt material!!
2nd baby girl rag quilt material!!
Here is the boy material.  I am making two of these.  I just love the material.  I need to find a better fabric store by me.  Jo Anne's just isn't cutting it.

These are made out the flannel prints.  Cut into squares and sewn together seams out.  Once they are sewn you go back and cut the seams.  Then wash to quilt and it rags up.  This is my all time favorite quilt to make.  I will keep you posted on my progress.

Dogs!! Dogs!! & More Dogs!

We have a serious dog problem. I have been talking about this for quite sometime now. It makes me sick.

We lost one of our cats a while back. I believe it was the neighbors Pit Bull mix dog that got Lightening. I couldn't prove anything but I had a gut feeling. We talked to the neighbor several times and he would keep the dog locked up for awhile and then all of a sudden we would see him again.

Monday Ken called and said they had caught the dog. They had seen him by our gate and set up the trap. They went to lunch and when they came back he was in the trap. We called to have the dog picked up. They did not call back until 8:00 pm that night. Pete & Ken had to take the dog into town to drop him off. That dog was definitely a killer dog. I was so glad he was gone.

Tuesday Ken called again and said he found a dog down at the Harris property down the street. The dog jumped right in his truck and he took him to Zach. They put Mac in the garage and let the dog be in the back yard. I didn't take any pictures because I couldn't even be around the dog. This dog was a very cool dog. Zach fell in Love!!! He was a Pit Bull Lab mix. Very big dog. We already have a cat and a dog at that property. The dogs ribs were showing. Zach feed him and he was so happy. The people could not get out on Tuesday night to pick him up. We had to put him in the cage so we could let Mac out. I felt so bad about that.

Wednesday morning Zach went out and there was so much poop every where Zach had to let the dog out. It looked like there was a horse in our back yard. Mac went back into the garage and Zach let the dog out. he went straight to the gate and wanted into the back yard. Zach was having a very hard time. I was just hoping they would come soon. Again I couldn't even go down there. They came and said they would find a good home. Zach told them he was a good dog.

I don't know what is going on right now but it is making me sick. As I was leaving Harris on Wednesday I saw another dog on the road.

I am glad the first dog is gone. Now I can breath a little better about my cats.

Mama Mia!!!

Alexi and I went to see Mama Mia!!!  I really loved it.  The movie is 2 hours long though. I bet it would be great to see on the stage.  I love the music.  It is filmed in Greece.  I have been there twice now and I can tell you that is one beautiful part of the country.  The people and scenery are very realistic in the movie.   The water is really that blue.  It is just beautiful.  Just a great movie over all.  I don't think Pete would have liked it so I am glad Alexi and I went.  We had lunch afterwards and and went to Jo Anne's fabric store to get some more material for my next projects.  I will be sharing later.

More Pictures of the Cats!!!

These cats are too funny sometimes.

Sergei loves it when Avi cleans him. he will stand very still and move his head around for her.

I don't have any idea how they both fit on the cat perch. It is barely big enough for one of them. I hope we have them both for a very long time.

I haven't had much luck with our cats. So wish me luck with these two. They have been staying inside when we are gone and when they are outside we are usually out there with them.
