Toda!!!

Zach was gone to Irvine for a few days and I was taking care of Toda. She is such a sweet cat. She sure loves Zach.

This is her favorite place to sleep.

The Pond!!

Matez has been working on the pond area for the last two weeks. When we got the last big rain it got clogged up. These two big trees had to be removed and he is still working on the roots.
This is where Maverick is buried.  He was our first cat that got smashed in the garage door.  We say Hi to him every time we drive by.


With the trees gone it gives in so much more light.  Now we just have to take care of the roots and build back up the road.
This is a beautiful area.

Zach's new yard!!

Since we had to put Mac to sleep the Monday before Christmas. The boys have been busing themselves with cleaning up Zach's backyard. This post is for my Mom and Wendy. It only makes since if you have seen the yard before. Nothing will grow back there. It is all hard ground and Mac's poop most of the time.

There are going to build a fire pit with some of the Granite we have here on the property.
The Awning got put on awhile back.  Zach has been planting in pots and made a little rock garden in this corner with two benches. The Pepper Tree is growing beautifully.
Here is his little barbecue area. Phil gave him his old barbecue.

I finally got "Missy Made It" gadget to work. I don't know why I have been having such a hard time. Check out her paper piercings. I just love them.

Coyote!!

We think this might have been the Coyote that got Avi. Our neighbor Ken has been feeding him for a few months and giving him some medicine. If you look closely you can see that he has a cut ear. It almost looks like he has three ears. They don't bother us at all and you don't even know they are there. We just have to keep our cats inside. Which isn't a problem for me.

He is actually eating off there yard area.
I hope Mr. Coyote stays over near them for awhile.

Word!!

I have picked my word for the year. I am waiting to get a new Header created before I say what my word is going to be. I will work on that this week.

Avi Girl!!!

We almost lost our orange kitty Avi. Pete was in the front with them waxing his truck. He heard some rustling noise in the grove and looked over the wall. He saw a coyote with Avi in his mouth. He starting hollering and the Coyote ran off. We looked and looked for Avi for about 30 minutes and we could not find her anywhere. He wasn't sure if the Coyote had her in his mouth or not when he ran off. You have to remember we has 23 acres of land that surrounds my house. That is a lot of area to be looking in. We stayed right where he heard the commotion. We sat in the grove and just listened. Pete would call her and then we would just listen to see if we could hear anything. We looked up every tree. Then Pete hollered he found her up a tree. Pete climbed up and got her down. We both got several scratches all over us from carrying her back to the house. She had a little wet spot on her and a few cuts but nothing else. She is one lucky cat.

She will not go outside again. We think what happened is that she just was submissive to the Coyote and he only had his mouth on her shoulder area, when Pete yelled he got scared and let go.

The previous owner has had cats up here that have lived outside for 12 years or more. They do very well outside. We only let them out when we are outside. She is just very sweet and used to having dogs around. She doesn't have the smell like Sergi or the fear. She could have even walked right up to the Coyote and that would not have surprised me at all.


Avi and Sergi are best friends.  he was very upset with the Coyote situation.  He could smell the Coyote on her.  He got all big and was really checking her out when he came inside.
Avi our little Christmas Present.  She loved sitting under the tree.  Neither one of them tried to climb the tree this year.   I got lucky with that one.

New Header!!

I have wanted to make a custom Header for awhile. Everyone else does such a nice job with their's. My problem is I don't have little kids or nothing cute to put on the Header itself.

I have been inspired by Missy's Header's . Missy uses scrapblog.com for her creations. Check them out as well. The link is also on my sidebar.

I know this is a New Years one and I will be changing it soon. It just goes with my background.

I think I have learned something new that could be dangerous.

Happy New Years to all my blog friends. I will be thinking about my Resolutions and posting them later today. 2008 has not been too bad. It has been a bit challenging but not to bad. One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to do a recap of the year. I will also post that later.
