Sunrise!!!

This was a picture of a sunrise I took last week. They are so beautiful this time of the year. The picture doesn't even do it justice.

Yes I am an early morning person. Once I wake up I can't just lay in bed no matter what time it is. I get up at 5:15 A.M. three days a week for work. So it is hard to sleep in the rest of the time.

Helpers!!

Every time I turn the lights on the cats get around or under the tree.

Avi just sitting and waiting for Sergie to come by.  I think she thinks she is hidden.
Sergi is just watching on the left.  You can barely see him.  He blends right into the chair.  He is just waiting for her to move and then it will be game on!!

Christmas Tree!!

I finally got my tree up on Friday. It takes usually about two or three days to get it up. I do it in stages. I don't have a pre lite tree so first I set up the tree one night and then the lights the next night. And the third night I put everything else out and the ornaments on. The top of my tree is broke so I think I will have to get a new tree for next year. They are on sale right now at very good prices.

Here is the first stage.  All branches must be laid out.  As you can see I had some helpers.
They just wanted to lay in the branches and chew on them.
Just the bare stick showing!!
The bare tree is up and the first part is done.
The finished product!!  The cats have not been up the tree yet.  I am hoping it takes them awhile to figure it out.  They really like when I turn on the lights.

Jackie!!

Jackie update!! He is still in ICU and he seems to be doing O.K. physically, He is mentally not in good spirits and I think the drugs are not doing so well for him. He is imagining things and seeing weird things, Hopefully they will get that straight today. My Mom is having a hard time. Hopefully they will move him to a room on the floor today and he will get straightened out. I don't think he is out the woods yet. These problems he is having are hard to know what is going to happen next. He is getting good care at the hospital. We are just taking one thing at a time. I will keep you all updated.

I love this picture of Jackie and Alexi in Mexico.  He loves this girl.  She hates that we are so far away now that he is sick.  That is the hardest part for all of us.

Helper!!

As I m writing Avi is driving me crazy. She won't let me type. She keeps licking my fingers and trying to rub up against my hands. She is such a loving Cat.

Here she just laid down and put her head on my hand so I couldn't do anything.

Sorry another cat post!!

Sergi

OK I know its a cat post but I couldn't help myself. Sergi was so cute, After Thanksgiving on Thursday we brought Hailey & Nicole (my great nieces) home with us to spend the night. Sergi loved the girls and immediately started rubbing himself all over their things. He was rubbing his face on their purses and rolling all over. He definitely was laying down his scent. He has really turned out to be a great cat. He is starting to really love people and he for sure loves Layla.

He had his face in one of the girls shoe and was just sitting like that.

Jackie!!

Jackie's surgery went well. They found that the area where they had repaired last Tuesday had come open. This could have been caused by the removal of the tubes or I think he was up and moving around too soon. He was doing good as of last night. He has to start over with the recover process. He is back in ICU. I just hate that I can't even talk to him. It is really hard being so far away. Mom is doing well considering. She is exhausted. I know I am. I sent every bit of my strength to Virginia yesterday morning.

Thanks for all the prayers!!!

Jackie!!

Jackie has taken a turn for the worst yesterday. He got an infection in his side. They are not sure what was going on. They put a drain tube in and tried to drain it out. The doctor called this morning and said there was too much still draining and that something else was going on. They took him into surgery at 10:30 A.M. Virginia time.

We need lots of prayers this morning. I hate that they don't have a clue as to what is going on.

I will keep you all posted.

Damn Good Question!!

We went to see our friends Gary Contreras (Brownie) and Shirley last weekend. Brownie plays in a classic rock band and they were playing in Mission Viejo at a bar called "Boosters". It is all ways nice to see Brownie & Shirley. We have known Brownie & Shirley for 30 years. Pete went to school with Shirley and Shirley was there when Pete and I first met. We don't get to see them much but I hope we all ways stay in touch. The band is very good and very fun to watch. We took Tim & Yachio with us. They are our neighbor's. We got to eat at Sony's in San Clemente for some great Italian food. A great time was had by all!!

Brownie is the drummer!!!

Tim made Brownie a Gnome with a drum set.  Brownie and Tim first met at the Avocado Festival in April.  Tim has a Boothe there and sells his Gnomes.  Brownie asked if he made any Gnomes with drums.  The next thing I know Tim is calling and has something for Brownie.  He loved it and all the other people at the bar were taking pictures.  You can see Tim in the background watching the action.  I will have to take a picture of our Gnomes and post at a later date all of the creations I have.  Tim uses the Avocado wood from our property and makes all of his creations from recycled materials.  Tim & Yacho are great neighbors and I am glad they live up here.

Baptism gifts!!

A few weeks ago I shared that we were Godparents. This is a great honor. After the baptism I made the kids a scrapbook. They loved it. Now they can share this day with people who were not there. It was a very fun project to do. Here is what they looked like:

I had some pictures so those were added in the front and there are several blank pages in the back for them to add there own photos.
This is the front page.  The church had this posted out side the door as you enter.  They spelled Tayber's name wrong and Tayber let the priest know it was wrong.
The first book is Tayber's and the bottom one here is Leah's book.  I made the people with my Circut paper dolls cartridge.

This was a very fun project.  It doesn't cost much at all to make.
