Rosarito Beach!!!

We went to La Paloma this weekend. ������Our vacation home is located in Baja California in the city of Rosarito Beach. ������We have a condo there right on the cliff. ������I have posted a few pictures. ������The scenery ones are looking out from our place the other is a picture of the outside of the condo itself. ������It was a beautiful day. ������

Every month on the first Friday of the month. ������The Rosarito Beach Hotel has a wine tasting dinner. ������It is a lot of fun. ������They choose three different wines and pair them up with foods. ������This month we had an Asparagus Soup, either Chicken or Salmon (I had Salmon) and a Chocolate Cake for dessert. ������It was great. ������So much for the diet. ������I am back to starving on Monday. ������I can't wait for next month.

Lightening update!

She is still no where to be found. Things are getting a little suspicious now. We have been leaving all the dog doors open now just in case she does come back. So there is a dog door from the house to the laundry room where their food is. Then from the laundry room to the garage where the litter box is. And the final door that goes outside. We have decide to leave all three open from now on. I hope we don't get any unwanted visitors. They would have to go through three doggy doors to actually get in to the house. I don't think that is going to happen.

Now the story continues. Because the doors are open Sergie has full run of the house as well as outside. This morning we could not find Sergie. We found him before leaving for work up the big Oak tree in the front of the house.

So tonight when we get home we will be setting the dog traps. I think the dogs up the hill have been visiting and may have gotten Lightening. Also Ken has a wild life video camera we might have to use that as well. If it is those dogs I will not be a happy camper. We have talked to those people many times before. There dogs come right up in my driveway which is not an easy task considering where we live. It is quite a distance for their dogs to have traveled.

More Layla!!

Not great pictures of me. ������I had a little headache and more face was puffy. ������I need to drink lots more water today.




Layla was so good on Saturday. ������I just had to take her out to the bathroom a million times. ������She went to bed at 10:30 p.m. and woke up at 6:30 am. ������Went out to pee. ������Ate breakfast and back out to poop. ������What more can you ask for than that. ������This is good for me to get my puppy fix. ������She is the sweetest dog. ������She found the mirror in my room and would just bark & bark. ������She so wants to play with something. ������Sergie doesn't mind if she just licks, but when she jumps he usually goes to something high to get away.

Lightening!!

She is still gone. Pete went out to the neighbors last night to see if maybe she followed one of their cats home. With no luck. Sergie is depressed. He misses her. I woke up last night and he was on the bed just staring outside. Pete searched all the grove roads. At this point he just wants to find her body so we can bury her in out pet cemetery. We also printed flyer's and put them in the neighbors mailboxes. I don't think that will do any good but at least we tried everything. I miss her lots. She was quite the talker. She was always making noises. When we first got Sergie he didn't talk at all. He now sounds like her we can't tell them apart.

We went to bed last night at around 10:15. At 12:30 we were woken up by a loud noise Sergie was fighting something. He came flying in the house and went under the bed. Pete ran in the garage to see what was going on. I turned on the outside light and thought I saw the neighbors Black Cat run away. It was black with white feet. Not sure though. I think it was trying to come in the garage to get some food. Normally we shut the garage dog door at night. We only leave it open when we are gone and in this case just in case Lightening found her way home.

It is a sad day in our house. I can't hardly think about it to much or I get too sad.

Birthday recap!!

Here are a few cards that I received for my Birthday. ������They were sitting out and my time is officially over. ������So I have put them away. Until next year. Next year will be a big one for me .
My Mom & Sister Wendy sent me a Gift Certificate for my Birthday from my favorite on line scrapbook store. "Scrap-A-Doodle-Doo" ������These people were a vendor at the SDV we just went to. ������I didn't even know it but I had already purchased from them before the Scrap. ������I just love their stuff. ������It is so much easier for me to order on line these days. ������

I received lots of other gifts. ������I got ������some flowers from work, another gift card. A plaque. ������The kids go me a gift bag that I opened before I went to Virginia. ������It had lots of new clothes and some shoes for my trip. ������Thanks to Zach, Alexi & Phil.

Lightening!!

She is still gone. We are very upset. I am trying to be optimistic but at this point it is not looking good. Until we find her I am sticking with my positive thoughts. The guys are on the lookout for her today. Pete looked all day yesterday. But when there is 23 acres of possibilities it is not easy. She has been gone over night before, but never for more than one night. I am hoping someone has her and she is O.K. She is such a sweet cat. I will keep you posted. No more cats for me after this.

Layla!!

O.K. I can't help it. ������This is just the cutest dog I have ever seen. ������She is so funny with the cats. ������I have not been able to capture a picture of that yet. ������I get to babysit on Saturday night so I will try again. ������They all start moving very fast when she is around. ������She has so much energy.

Lightening!!

Lightening is gone.  We got back from Mexico on Saturday around 12:00. Sergie was here but not Lightening.  This is not usually she is the wander one.  She still is not home.  I am hoping she is just off somewhere.  Sergie has been out and back again all ready this morning.  Maybe she followed the black cat we have that sometimes comes around.  I am worried.  That is just how cats are.  I hope she is O.K.

Sergie the super cat!!

This cat is too much. For some reason he wants to get up very high.  This is a tall boy that sits in my living room.  It usually has a antique vase that I rescued before he jumped up.  The problem is he is so big.  But he loved it up there so there he stayed.  I love to see him with Layla.  If I can get her to calm down he will just smell her and let her lick him all over the face.  He doesn't like it when she jumps.  As we all know that is what puppy's do all the time.  So if I hold her and let him sniff they like each other.  He really is a sweet sweet cat,

Happy May 1st.

I am so glad April is over.  What a crazy month.  I should be happy about the activities but sometimes it is just to much.  I had  7 Birthdays.  Including Zach who turned "21" and my own. 

Then I turn the page in my Day Timer and I see May.  I have 9 Birthdays in May & Mothers Day.  Not to bad.  We are gone almost every weekend.  That I don't like to much.  But I am just going to enjoy every minute of it.  Every day I wake up and my family is O.K. is a good day.
